Girls, rock your boys.

We had a pretty good practice, even though we had to struggle through without a rhythm guitarist.

We did Chevy Van several times, as it seemed to be the favorite of the evening, despite the lack of a guitar solo in the middle – yes, I continue to whine. We also did Right Place Wrong Time, Stacy’s Mom, Betty Noir (and I think P fixed my timing on when to come in), My Sharona (which Rodney is apparently in love with), The Safety Dance, Blister In The Sun (I didn’t get the memo about the revised lyrics and shamed us all by continuing to sing when everyone else had moved on), Whip It, What I Like About You, Ain’t No Sunshine, and a dark version of Tainted Love, which everybody seemed to really enjoy. Sadly, We’re Not Gonna’ Take It has been completely back-burnered, if not entirely kicked to the curb.

For some unknown reason, Cum On Feel The Noise kept appearing. It was, after all, Dave’s first cassette.

P learned how to turn a knob last night and there was a sighting of Rodney off his stool. Dave gave me a lamp, but then took it back.

The quote of the night:
“I’m sitting on three pounds of rotten cabbage.” ~P
