We had a really good practice last night. We don’t usually practice on Wednesday, but circumstances made it so. By the time I arrived, Rodney, Dave, and PJ were already warming up and sounding good. It was a harbinger of things to come. We had a great practice.

Last night we had an odd practice. It was on an odd day and we were also recording. It’s really cool watching Jeff set up all his equipment and he has a super sweet Mac laptop that I’m lusting after. In addition, Rodney and PJ practiced a new trick they like to call “Put A Stick In Dave For Charity!” And somehow or other, it was mentioned that we should change the name of the band to BFD, for Big Foot Dave. As a bonus, I’m hoarse this morning so it couldn’t have been all bad.

Last night we had a great practice. It had been a month since we had gotten together, and it will be another two weeks, as Wes couldn’t make it. We did have a guest guitarist sit in with us. It’s Jack Bower’s brother Dave, and he plays a mean guitar. Two Daves in one band is a little much. Two Hand Dave? Double Fisted Dave? Not to mention that Dave the first had poison Ivy all over his eye and it looked like he had taken a punch. Poison Ivy. That was his story and he was sticking to it. He also told the story of his wayward lumberjacking escapade which very nearly led to chaos, mayhem, destruction of property and loss of life and limb. [More]
